¿Û¿Û´«Ã½app proud to join A Kid Again in the Horseshoe

11-11-2019

COLUMBUS, Ohio – ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½app AutoGlass®, the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, is proud to support the mission of A Kid Again. A Kid Again® is a charitable organization that fosters hope, happiness and healing for families raising kids with life-threatening illnesses through fun-filled adventures.

This season, a team of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½app associates is serving as the Hustle and Heart Net Crew at home Ohio State football games. They’re in charge of raising and lowering the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½app-branded net in the north end zone for all field goal and extra point attempts. ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½app is donating $500 to A Kid Again for every OSU extra point and field goal scored at home this season.

“¿Û¿Û´«Ã½app’s support of A Kid Again goes all the way back to the very beginning,” said A Kid Again Board Chair and ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½app Senior Legal Counsel Brian DiMasi. “A Kid Again’s focus on helping families in a time of need strongly aligns with our core values, making our partnership so special.”

On Saturday, Nov. 9, one of the children and families supported by A Kid Again joined the Net Crew on the field for a special moment. The Heinrich family has endured several hardships and looked forward to putting their worries aside for an afternoon of football and fun.

“¿Û¿Û´«Ã½app is a valued partner to A Kid Again, helping us provide hope, happiness and healing to children and families like the Heinrichs who are struggling with the effects of a life-threatening condition,” said Oyauma Garrison, President and CEO of A Kid Again. “The family has been through so much over the past few years and more challenges still lie ahead. They, along with the entire A Kid Again network, are grateful for this opportunity to help raise awareness about the benefits of our organization as we work to give illness a time out.”

US Air Force retired Technical Sergeant Nick Heinrich returned in October from a yearlong deployment to Iraq, his fourth deployment in 21 years. He was called out of retirement because the Air Force needed his specialized skills for this mission. The Heinrich family is happy to be back together, especially because in December, son Brody will face the 15th surgery of his young life.

Brody loves the Buckeyes, and A Kid Again found it especially fitting for the family to attend OSU’s military appreciation game ahead of Veterans Day.

“A Kid Again is way more than adventures,” said Brody’s mother Tawnya Heinrich. “They have been a part of our life and they are there for us every step of the way.”

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½app is grateful for the bravery and dedication of all who served in the armed forces and is honored to join the Heinrich family on the field in Ohio Stadium.
